More Than A Musical

The Man Who Saw Heaven is more than a musical, it is a faith-building experience that tells the magnificent story of Joseph Smith, the Prophet of the Restoration.

This musical was written by three faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. However, it is not endorsed by the Church.

Timeline and Scope

PHASE 1: Auditioning & Casting

(SEPTEMBER – DECEMBER)

We are currently inviting anyone interested (youth and adults) to audition. For those interested in learning more about the Audition Process, please click here.

PHASE 2: Studio Recording

(JANUARY – March)

Cast members will be invited to the studio to record vocals for the album.

PHASE 3: Rehearsing

(Spring – Summer 2025)
Although choreography will be at a minimum, there are still a few things to rehears. As we get closer to the Fall, we will be asking cast members to attend (maybe) one rehearsal per week (depending on your role: some will be less). The “rehearsal phase” will most likely last about 2 months. We will be accommodating and flexible with everyone’s schedule. We understand that everyone has commitments outside of this project, which is the very reason why we created this musical to be “lean”.

PHASE 4: Touring

(Fall 2025)

We will hold performances in Vancouver and Portland stake centers. These performances will most likely be on the weekends (FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS).
